Darlaine Honey

Sexual Health Advisor

Darlaine Honey (she/her) is a British sexual health advisor. She is on a mission to help help women in a similar position to herself.

Darlaine was diagnosed with invasive lobular breast cancer in 2016, a form of cancer that she describes as “the most common form of breast cancer that no one has ever heard of.” She found the effects of surgical menopause and treatment very disagreeable gynaecologically. Unable to take HRT and obtain oestrogen cream or pessaries, she has been researching what may help women who experience similar issues.

She pivoted into sexual health at the age of 48 after a career in geriatric mental health. She is an advocate for Breast Cancer Now on the workflow task force and also participated in the Breast Cancer Now / Ann Summers/My ViV collaboration for sex after breast cancer.

Darlaine is based in Greater London, UK.
