Jamison Green

Jamison Green (he/him) is an author and legal scholar. He is on a mission is to make the world safe for transgender people to create a world where people don't have to be afraid of other peoples' differences.

Jamison Green, best known for his award-winning memoir, "Becoming a Visible Man." He is a co-editor and co-author of "A History of Transgender Medicine in the United States: From Margins to Mainstream," SUNY Press (2025). He earned a Ph.D. in Equalities Law in 2011.

He has championed LGBTQ+ civil rights, health, and social safety for 50+ years. After earning an MFA in fiction at the University of Oregon (1972), he worked in construction and in technical publications. He transitioned from female to male in 1988 and led the nonprofit educational groups FTM International and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health.

Jamison is based in Vancouver, Washington in the United States.
