The What.

Delvvy is your go-to hub for next-level sex education. It’s our mission to help you experience the best Sex (Ed) you’ve ever had.

Our work centres on creating and supporting responsible storytelling for sexual and reproductive health and rights. We collaborate with a global community of experts to provide accessible, inclusive and trusted sex education resources. We also work behind the scenes with storytelling stakeholders to elevate how experts engage in the media discourse.

We’re currently hosting 100 Days of Sex Ed - a global initiative that’s brought together 100+ experts to create 100 free resources.

The How.

Context > Commentary
We are not here to add to the noise. Instead, we focus on cutting through the commentary by providing context. Access to SRHR information has always been difficult, and in the current political and tech environment, new barriers are continuing to emerge. We highlight those challenges; however, our focus is to seek solutions.

Collaboration > Competition
We’re not here to be the loudest in the room. We are here to bring more people to the table.

Our solution-first approach starts by supporting the global Sex Ed community. We believe collaboration is the key to scaling thought leadership and boosting access to Sex Ed resources.

The Why.

Oscar Wilde said, “Everything in the world is about sex, except sex. Sex is power.” The three letters, by literal definition, have two meanings. The first is a set of physical acts practised for pleasure, connection, and reproduction. Such acts can also result in deep distress and harm if exercised irresponsibly. The second is a set of physiological characteristics that determine how others perceive us. Through that understanding, one can already argue that sex is one of, if not the strongest thread spun in the spiderweb of our individual and collective existence.

Yet, that understanding is limited. It fails to articulate the socially sanctioned beliefs and behaviours that determine how our bodies and beings are policed. It fails to outline the meaning and morality that motivates, manipulates, and mediates conflict and connection. It also fails to acknowledge its hegemony in decision-making, from how to dress to who can lead a country. It’s through this lens that we believe everybody sells sex. We argue that sex is an idea exchanged as a universal currency to determine how we think, act, and lead.

That’s why we focus on helping you understand the narratives that entangle the idea of sex. By doing so, you can unlock more conscious, connected, and celebrated human experiences.
