Michaela Southby
Forensic Sexologist
Michaela Southby (she/her) is a psychosexual therapist, educator and researcher. She is on a mission to make comprehensive Relationships and Sexuality Education accessible, contextual and proactive for all, particularly society's more vulnerable populations.
Michaela counsels and educates individuals, parents and allied health professionals on sexuality and disability. She also supports emerging counsellors and sexologists through academic facilitation and Clinical Supervision.
She is a doctoral researcher at Curtin University, exploring ways to deliver meaningful and timely Relationships and Sexuality Education to neurodivergent young people and their families. She works humanistically via a rights-based, contextual and person-centred approaches.
Michaela is based in Western Australia.
